The WRC recommended that a transport business pay a former delivery driver €350 after finding it should have acted more proactively on his workplace complaints. The recommendation was dated 12 June 2026. The worker said the business had failed to address complaints and grievances or to start or explain a formal procedure. The business said managers had tried to address the issues and that the worker had not started the grievance process. The WRC found that the two disputes overlapped. It recommended €350 for reference IR-SC-00000822 and made no separate recommendation on IR-SC-00000824. It accepted that the worker had received the employee handbook but said the business should have provided the relevant procedures and facilitated a formal process earlier.
WRC recommends €350 over transport business’s handling of worker’s complaints
