The WRC recommended against a worker on two complaints against a local authority, in a recommendation dated 9 September 2024. He said his overtime was curtailed after he refused tradesman’s duties and that he had been sent to patch alone. The officer found no evidence of discriminatory treatment in overtime allocation or that lone patching breached health and safety practices or was assigned because he refused the duties. The worker also alleged failures under the employer’s bullying and harassment procedures. The officer found he had not set out a separate complaint under those procedures and did not uphold it.
