The Labour Court found that Darius Ridikas was covered by the Construction Industry Registered Employment Agreement while working as a general operative for Acol Limited from 19 May 2008 to 13 May 2011. The decision was signed on 25 August 2011. The application concerned whether the agreement applied to Ridikas’s former employment and arose amid a dispute over his entry to its pension, assurance and sick pay scheme. The Court relied on uncontested evidence that ACOL was a building firm and that Ridikas worked as a general operative. ACOL did not attend the hearing.
