The Labour Court rejected Frank O'Donnell’s appeal over public holiday entitlement from when he was cocooning, finding no breach of the Act. The decision was signed on 30 October 2025. O'Donnell said he believed public holidays from that period remained due. Letterkenny University Hospital said holidays were paid in 2020 and 2021 and that 15.4 hours were paid in lieu after he resigned. The Court found O'Donnell had accepted payment and had not established a basis for accumulating further entitlement. The adjudication officer’s decision was upheld.
