The Labour Court ordered Vladimir Vecerin Pepito Trade to pay Lucian Liviu Ionut €2,250 compensation in an annual leave appeal. Its decision was dated 16 February 2024. Ionut said he had not received annual leave pay and was entitled to three weeks’ leave. The employer said leave had been paid, but it could not provide the required working-time and annual-leave records and declined to give sworn evidence. The Court found that Ionut’s evidence raised a reasonable possibility of a breach and that the employer had failed to prove compliance. It found the complaint well-founded, ordered compensation and set aside the Adjudication Officer’s decision.
