The Labour Court upheld awards to Jerko Anders Hresic Bernak for unpaid annual leave, Sunday working and excessive weekly hours, and increased compensation for the denial of uninterrupted leave from €50 to €200. The determination was signed on 29 March 2019. Hresic Bernak appealed the amounts, saying he earned €600 a week or, alternatively, €526.15. The Court relied on payslips and Revenue returns showing weekly pay of €240. It upheld €1,050.24 for annual leave, €280 for Sunday working and €300 for excessive hours, and added €140 for four Sundays in the leave calculation. The employer, Hannigans Butchers Limited, did not attend the hearing. The Court found it had not produced required leave and working-time records that could rebut the claims.
