The Labour Court struck out Four Star Pizza’s appeal after the company failed to attend to pursue it, leaving a €750 award to worker Waqar Saeed Khan in place. The determination was signed on 29 June 2011. Khan had complained that he was not given rest breaks while working as a pizza delivery driver. The Rights Commissioner awarded him €750 after Four Star Pizza failed to attend that hearing. The Labour Court’s appeal decision did not decide the merits.
