The Labour Court added €1,750 to Arturas Karpauskas’s €1,000 award against Goode Concrete Limited, bringing his working-time compensation to €2,750. The determination was signed on 22 February 2008. The court found Karpauskas’s delivery schedule left little or no practical opportunity to take adequate breaks and upheld his complaint on that point. The court added compensation for the breach and varied the Rights Commissioner’s decision. Karpauskas did not actively pursue his holiday-pay complaint, and the court affirmed the finding that it was not well founded. It left the €1,000 award for inadequate notice of overtime unchanged.
