The Workplace Relations Commission found Noel O Neill’s complaint against Securitas Security Services Ireland Ltd Same not well founded. He sought four weeks’ pay for a notice period he said he gave when resigning. O Neill said he was certified sick and unable to work during the notice period but believed his contract entitled him to payment. The company argued notice pay required him to be available to work and that there was no express contractual entitlement. The adjudication officer found O Neill was unavailable to work during the notice period and was therefore not entitled to payment. The WRC decision was dated 2 June 2026.
