The Workplace Relations Commission rejected Khaled Fouda’s complaint that Teleperformance Ireland Limited penalised him for making a protected disclosure. Adjudication Officer Penelope McGrath’s decision was dated 12 March 2026.
The adjudicator accepted that Fouda had made a protected disclosure to the Data Protection Commissioner about data handling, but found no link between it and his removal from the workplace after an office argument on 21 May 2025. She found the ensuing investigation and disciplinary process arose from his workplace conduct and that the employer’s action was within the range of reasonable management responses.
The employer denied penalisation and said it disciplined Fouda appropriately after the workplace incident.
