The Workplace Relations Commission found that Kian Pettit had not made a protected disclosure and that his constructive dismissal complaint was not upheld. The decision, dated 15 December 2025, concerned his complaints against Gemini Payments Europe Limited.
Pettit said that after raising concerns about compliance with the EU's MiCA rules, his responsibilities were reduced and he was excluded from work on a Malta project. Gemini said his report was part of his compliance duties and denied diminishing his role. The adjudication officer found Pettit had prepared the report as part of his job and had said he did not regard it as a protected disclosure. The officer also found that his meetings with management were not a formal grievance process and that he had not exhausted internal procedures before resigning. No award was recorded.
