The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Leeson Catering Ltd. to pay former head chef Philip Hughes €6,000 gross for unpaid annual leave and public holidays. The decision was dated 9 December 2025. The company was in liquidation, and the liquidator did not attend the hearing.
Hughes alleged he had not received his full leave and public holiday entitlements. The adjudication officer upheld complaints over 20 days of annual leave and 10 public holidays. A separate complaint about accrued leave on leaving employment was not well founded because that issue had been addressed in the first complaint.
