WRC finds Techrete Ireland Limited granted employee her annual leave entitlement

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Techrete Ireland Limited had granted Anastasiia Kerdina her statutory paid annual leave entitlement. The decision was dated 8 April 2024. Kerdina said her request for four days off in February 2023 was refused because she was on probation. The company said she had already used the leave she had accrued during a plant shutdown. The adjudication officer found the refusal was based on her remaining leave balance, not her probation, and that the four days she had accrued had been paid. The complaint was not well-founded.
