WRC declines jurisdiction over Stephen Reid’s redundancy and dismissal complaints

The Workplace Relations Commission had no jurisdiction to hear Stephen Reid’s complaints against Keltech IoT Networks Limited, Adjudication Officer Christina Ryan ruled in a decision dated 3 June 2026. No compensation was awarded. Reid alleged his redundancy was not genuine and proper procedures, including consultation, were not followed. The company said the redundancy followed consultation and arose from business requirements. The WRC found the section 11A complaint did not concern collective redundancies; Reid’s later unfair-dismissal claim was a new complaint raised outside the time limit. The merits were not decided.
