WRC rejects builder’s complaint as outside its jurisdiction

The Workplace Relations Commission found that Andrzej Hnat’s complaint against EBHG Note One Ltd was outside its jurisdiction because it was filed almost three years after his employment ended. The decision, dated 14 November 2025, made no monetary award. Hnat said he had not received severance pay or public-holiday pay for 2020, but accepted he had been paid for public holidays he worked. The WRC did not decide whether severance pay was owed; it found the complaint was filed beyond the six-month limit, which may be extended to 12 months for reasonable cause.
