The Workplace Relations Commission awarded Marek Dudko €1,000 for each of three working-time complaints against Hobartstown Limited, finding breaches involving daily rest, weekly rest and maximum hours. The decision was dated 9 September 2024. Three other complaints were not well-founded; a claim over unpaid Safe Pass training was outside the time limit, so its merits were not decided. The adjudicator found that Dudko sometimes did not receive the required daily rest, did not receive required weekly rest periods, and at times worked more than the permitted hours. The employer’s working-time records appeared to be absent or inaccurate. The WRC also found that Dudko had received a Sunday premium and accepted that outstanding holiday pay had been paid.
