The Workplace Relations Commission directed Mercury Security & Facilities Management Ltd to pay Murean Gavril €560, equal to one week’s pay in lieu of notice, in a decision dated 11 March 2024. Gavril said he was owed pay for contracted hours he had not worked, while the company said it paid him for hours worked. The WRC found the hours-pay complaint was not well founded. The company agreed that he was entitled to one week’s pay in lieu of notice, and the WRC upheld that complaint.
