WRC rejects Luis Neves’s penalisation complaints against Davra Networks

The Workplace Relations Commission found Luis Neves’s penalisation complaints against Davra Networks Ltd not well founded. The decision was dated 9 January 2024. Neves said the company penalised him by ending his contract without giving a reason, relying on workplace safety legislation and regulations for European Cooperative Societies. The officer found that termination alone did not establish penalisation and that no causal link to a relevant provision of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 had been shown. The 2007 regulations did not apply to Davra as a limited company.
