The Workplace Relations Commission found a health and safety penalisation complaint by Michael Kinahan against Tom Grant Financial Services trading as One Life was not well founded. The decision was dated 6 September 2023. Kinahan said he was dismissed after raising concerns about in-person meetings during rising Covid numbers. The company said he was dismissed during probation because he missed sales targets and there were conduct concerns. The adjudicator accepted that Kinahan made a health and safety complaint and was later dismissed, but found he had not proved the complaint caused his dismissal. Missed sales targets were found to be the main reason.
