Siu Pek Ip’s WRC complaints over breaks and holiday pay fail

The Workplace Relations Commission found Siu Pek Ip’s complaints about rest breaks and public holiday pay against Funfair Amusement Milan Gaming Ltd were not well founded. The decision was dated 4 January 2023. Ip said she was the only staff member on shift and did not receive breaks, and that her public holiday pay was inadequate. The company relied on signed break records and payslips showing payments for public holidays. The adjudication officer preferred the company’s evidence on breaks and found there was insufficient evidence of a breach of public holiday entitlements.
