Millview Farm ordered to pay Gints Liepins €1,439 for unpaid annual leave

The Workplace Relations Commission ordered Millview Farm Ltd to pay Gints Liepins €1,439 for annual leave he had not received when his employment ended. The decision was dated 27 September 2022. Liepins said he had not received the accrued leave payment. The company relied on a payslip and a signed receipt for a cash payment, which he disputed. The adjudicator was not convinced either way about the signature, noted that the alleged witness did not give evidence and that no company witness explained why payment had not gone through payroll. On balance, the adjudicator accepted Liepins had not received the annual leave money. A second complaint about the same facts was described as repetitious.
