The Workplace Relations Commission found two complaints by Martin O’Riordan against Abbott Ireland Limited not well founded. The decision, dated 14 April 2023, concerned alleged penalisation after he raised health and safety concerns. The complaints were brought under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act and the Protected Disclosures Act. O’Riordan accepted that a later related file concerning his alleged dismissal superseded these matters, and they were not pursued as individual complaints. The WRC nevertheless recorded both complaints as not well founded.
