The Workplace Relations Commission ordered a service-sector employer to pay a sales assistant €2,000 after finding breaches of daily-rest requirements. The decision was dated 11 May 2017. The worker provided work records showing breaches in three weeks in May, June and July 2016. The employer’s representative said the employer wanted to check the records. The WRC found the breaches and ordered compensation. The worker withdrew a separate complaint and said another working-time complaint was not relevant; that complaint was declared not well founded.
