In 1992, the Labour Court rejected the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union’s appeal and upheld a recommendation that the forklift rate apply from June 1990. The decision was dated 8 December 1992. The union had sought retrospective payment from September 1988 for a relief forklift driver at Shamrock Foods.
