The Labour Court dismissed an appeal by the HSE North West Area and upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that a public health nurse receive €1,000 compensation. The decision was dated 8 November 2005. The worker said a meeting with her manager was intimidating and that the HSE failed to investigate her grievance fairly and promptly. The HSE said the meeting was intended to explain its grievance procedure after correspondence had been sent outside the worker’s line management. The Court said it saw no basis to disagree with the Rights Commissioner’s conclusions.
