By Stephen Holland, DublinLive

Over 100 luxury cars will convoy through the streets of Dublin on Sunday, June 14.

Dublin City Council has announced the return of the Bumblebee 1000 charity road trip at College Green. As a charity supercar road in aid of Little Blue Heroes, it features high-performance and luxury vehicles travelling across the country in support of children living with serious illnesses .

Since its launch in 2021, this event has combined a love for driving with a deep charitable purpose: raising essential funds and creating lifelong memories for families. Far more than a simple road trip, it’s a powerful celebration of community and courage. Along the route, participants make special stops to meet the Little Blue Heroes “Honorary Gardaí” children, who remain at the heart of everything the charity does.

Dublin city will be at the centre of the action, as the spectacular convoy will arrive at College Green at 12 noon on June 14. Members of the public will have the opportunity to see an impressive display of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, and other iconic vehicles.

Lord Mayor Councillor Ray McAdam described the event as “more than a display of extraordinary cars” but a “celebration of community, generosity and the power of people coming together for a wonderful cause”.

“On Sunday, 14 June, College Green will be transformed into something truly special, with Lamborghinis, Porsches, McLarens and many more remarkable vehicles on show. I warmly invite families, car enthusiasts and Dubliners of all ages to come into the heart of the city, support Little Blue Heroes and enjoy a spectacle they will remember for a very long time,” he said.

Bumblebee 1000 has already raised hundreds of thousands of euro for Little Blue Heroes while delivering practical support, memorable experience, and moments of happiness for children facing serious illness.

“The Bumblebee 1000 is about more than incredible cars - it’s about creating moments of joy, connection and support for children and families who need it most. We are thrilled to partner with Dublin City Council in 2026 to bring this event to even more communities and make an even greater impact,” a spokesperson for Little Blues Heroes said.

Thousands of spectators are expected on the day for this exciting, family-friendly event. The public, community groups and businesses are encouraged to line College Green and wave on the fundraiser drivers and witness the incredible cars.
