Dublin by Night Festival to bring live music, food and fashion to streets of the capital

The popular Dublin by Night Festival is set to return to the streets of the capital on Saturday, November 7 this year.
It will see a raft of family-friendly, free activities take over four streets in the city centre - Dame Street, College Green, Parliament Street and Capel Street - between 6pm and 10pm.
The full schedule of events has not been released, but organisers promise a “jam-packed” evening of live music, DJs, pop-up performances, interactive experiences and cooking demonstrations, among other things.
Organisers say last year’s festivities drew around 80,000 people to the city centre, and they are hoping for similar success this year.
The event is organised in partnership with business representative group Dublin Town, Dublin City Council, Fáilte Ireland and is supported by An Garda Síochána.
Dublin’s Lord Mayor, Daryl Barron, said the event was “all about celebrating the energy, creativity and atmosphere that make Dublin one of Europe’s great night-time destinations.
“Whether you’re heading in for music, culture, food, shopping or simply to soak up the atmosphere, there will be something happening around every corner. I’d invite anyone to come into the city and experience this event for themselves.”
Karl Mitchell, executive manager of the council’s co-ordination unit, said the event invites “visitors and residents to experience the vibrant culture, outstanding businesses and local talent our city has to offer.”
Clyde Carroll, CEO of Dublin Town, said: “It is more than just a celebration of the city centre’s nightlife, it is proof that Dublin is unrivalled when it comes to entertainment, food, shopping, lifestyle experiences and so much more.
“This event is about showcasing the very best of our city, creating memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike, and reinforcing the city centre as a dynamic destination for people to live, work, enjoy and experience.”
The festival also marks the city holding onto its purple flag status, a badge recognising cities that provide a safe, welcoming and non-alcohol dependent night-time economy.
The capital has won the accreditation every year since 2013, and is one of 80 European cities to hold the title.
Dublin by Night Festival marks the opening of the Winter in Dublin campaign, which runs until the end of January 2027.
