Dairy farm upgrades including new shed, extended facilities and cattle handling area

Higgins Dairy Ltd has been given the green light to upgrade its dairy farm at Derrinlough near Ballinasloe. The plans involve building a new slatted shed with cubicles, demolishing an old tank and extending an existing shed to improve milking facilities, and roofing over a collection area to create cattle handling facilities with a race and crush.
