Witness Appeal – Serious Injury Road Traffic Clonberne, Co. Galway, 22nd August, 2026

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision that occurred at Ballyedmond, Clonberne, Ballinasloe on 22 August 2026. The incident involved a single-vehicle collision at around 10:00pm. The front passenger, a male juvenile in his teens, is in Beaumont Hospital Dublin with serious injuries and remains in critical condition. Three rear seat passengers, also male juveniles, were taken to Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe as a precaution. A technical examination was conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Anyone with information, including those with camera or dash-cam footage from the area between 9:30pm and 10:30pm on 22 August 2026, is urged to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda Station. This is a witness appeal.
