The Wrights of Howth family dispute remained before the High Court after Mr Justice Brian O’Moore encouraged mediation on 1 February 2023.
The case concerns a claim by the Wrights of Howth group that it was wrongfully locked out of a storage unit at West Pier, Howth. The lease ownership and alleged misappropriation of three trawlers are also issues in proceedings begun in 2019.
A temporary injunction granted in December remained in place, restraining Mark Wright and Shona Wright from obstructing the plaintiffs’ access to Store E and from placing locks or access controls there. The defendants denied wrongdoing.
The judge encouraged mediation while directing the exchange of documents. He said that without resolution, the case would require a five-day High Court hearing. The report said the case would return to court later that month.
