Wayne Dundon's murder trial continued at the Special Criminal Court on 12 May 2014, with the prosecution hearing evidence about an alleged €20,000 offer to take part in the killing of publican Steve Collins. The charge relates to the murder of Roy Collins at Coin Castle Amusements in Limerick on 9 April 2009.

Gareth Collins, also known as Gareth Keogh, told the court that he repeatedly refused to drive Nathan Killeen to the killing. He said Wayne Dundon spoke to him by mobile phone from prison and asked him to drive Killeen to the Steering Wheel pub, where Killeen would attack Steve Collins.

The trial continued before the three-judge non-jury court, presided over by Ms Justice Iseult O’Malley. Dundon and Killeen had pleaded not guilty to Roy Collins’s murder.
