Wayne Dundon was sentenced to life for murder at the Special Criminal Court on 15 July 2014. The court found him guilty of killing businessman Roy Collins in Limerick. Dundon was said to have ordered the murder from prison, while Nathan Killeen was the getaway driver for the gunman. The three-judge court imposed the mandatory life sentence after a 29-day trial and backdated it to February 2013, when the men were charged.

The court relied on evidence from Anthony McCarthy, who testified that Dundon told him he had ordered the killing. The evidence concerned the shooting of Mr Collins at Coin Castle Amusements on 9 April 2009.
