Warren Dumbrell and Jeffrey Dumbrell lost their appeals against murder convictions at the Court of Criminal Appeal on 4 July 2014.
The convictions followed the murder of Christopher Cawley at Tyrone Place, Inchicore, Dublin 8, on 29 October 2006.
The court rejected arguments about jury directions on internet research, previous convictions, witness credibility and joint enterprise.
Both men had been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Central Criminal Court after their convictions in February 2011.
