Unnamed priest’s acquittal on gross indecency counts affirmed

The unnamed 75-year-old Catholic priest was acquitted on 13 counts of gross indecency after a trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

The Court of Appeal affirmed the acquittal and refused to order a retrial; it found the trial judge’s direction was wrong in law.
