An unnamed man was jailed for five years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for indecent assault and sexual assault. The proceedings were reported on 30 June 2021.

He pleaded guilty to the counts, which related to offending in Dublin between 1 April 1988 and 28 March 1994. The report said he abused his foster daughter repeatedly from when she was 13 until she left the family home at 18, with two further occasions after she moved out.
