Three security companies settled their High Court challenge to the proposed security-sector pay order, and the proceedings were struck out on 28 July 2023.

The companies were Top Security, Morbury and Las Security. They had challenged the order and related Labour Court proposals; the judge agreed to strike out the proceedings after the parties consented.

The proposed order set a minimum hourly rate of €12.50, rising to €12.90 from 1 February 2023. The settlement left the Minister free to sign it, which the report said would lead to pay increases across the security sector.
