Thomas Tougher loses petrol station property claim

By Rory Hanlon

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Thomas Tougher had his petrol station property claim vacated by the High Court, reported on 24 May 2014. The court also allowed his breach-of-contract claim to continue.

The claim, known as a lis pendens, had restricted John O'Regan from dealing with several properties, including 10 fuel retailers. Mr Justice Brian Cregan found that part of Mr Tougher's case clearly unsustainable but refused to strike out the separate breach-of-contract proceedings.
