Stefan Boyle pleaded guilty to burglary at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, with the outcome reported on 5 July 2017. The burglary took place at Ali Hussain House, Milltown Bridge, Dundrum, on 2 November 2016.

Judge Karen O’Connor allowed Boyle to attend residential drug treatment before sentencing, after he was assessed as suitable for the programme. The court heard that he had lunged at Ali Yassine with a knife and stolen two phones before returning them the following day.

Sentencing was adjourned until January, while Boyle awaited a place at Coolmine Therapeutic Centre and completion of its residential and after-care programme.
