St Margaret’s Recycling gets leave to challenge waste refusal

By Donal Gilhooly

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

St Margaret’s Recycling and Transfer Centre Limited won leave at the High Court to challenge refusal of its waste facility permission, reported on 25 February 2022. The facility is at Sandyhill, near Dublin Airport.

Fingal County Council had granted temporary permission for the centre to process waste, but An Bord Pleanála overturned that decision on appeal and refused retention permission in December 2021. The company’s challenge sought to overturn the board’s refusal.

This report covers an earlier stage of the case. Later developments are not reported here.
