The St Margaret’s Concerned Residents Group had its Dublin Airport runway planning challenge reserved for decision in the High Court, reported on 18 October 2017. The proposed runway would be built on lands north and north west of Dublin Airport’s terminal building.
The group claims pre-construction works carried out by the DAA in December 2016 were unauthorised development. It says the works began before a required waste management plan was submitted to Fingal County Council, breaching a condition of the original planning permission.
The DAA denies the claim. Two other challenges to Fingal County Council’s decision to extend planning permission for the runway were continuing before Mr Justice Max Barrett.
