St Anne’s Park housing challenges adjourned over fast-track bid

By Cathal Brosnan

This report is a localnews.ie summary based on public court reporting and records; sources are listed below.

Challenges to permission for 500 homes near St Anne’s Park were adjourned by the High Court on 31 May 2018 while parties considered fast-tracking the cases.

Mr Justice David Barniville said the challenges might fall within the spirit of the court’s strategic infrastructure list, although he wanted An Bord Pleanála and the developer to give their views before deciding. The actions seek orders including the quashing of the planning permission granted by An Bord Pleanála, alongside declarations concerning environmental assessments and the Birds Directive.
