Sharon Shannon and her manager John Dunford consented to a €520,057 judgment in favour of Permanent TSB. The bank’s application was mentioned before Edmund Honohan, Master of the High Court, on 27 January 2015. The proceedings were reported on 28 January 2015.

Permanent TSB sought judgment jointly and severally against them over alleged failures to make repayments. In its proceedings, Irish Life and Permanent plc, trading as Permanent TSB plc, said they borrowed €402,000 through an endowment residential business loan in November 2006. Repayment was scheduled through monthly instalments of just over €1,650 over 20 years.

The bank said they missed two consecutive monthly repayments in June 2010, making the entire balance due under the loan terms. It demanded full repayment in 2012 and claimed they had neglected to repay the monies advanced plus interest.

Tomas Keys, for the bank, told Mr Honohan of the defendants’ consent to judgment. They were represented by separate solicitors. Mr Honohan placed a six-month stay on execution of the judgment order, as agreed by the parties.
