The Sean Treacy Park Resident’s Association challenged Tipperary County Council’s Carrick-on-Suir regeneration plan in a High Court case reported on 16 March 2022.
The association said the plan could affect amenities at Sean Treacy Park, the River Suir and local environment, and claimed it could affect protected structures including Ormonde Castle.
It sought to quash the council’s planning permission and raised environmental assessment and notice grounds. The matter came before Mr Justice Charles Meenan, who adjourned it to a date in December.
