Sean Quinn restrained over trespass at Cavan quarry

The High Court granted an injunction restraining Sean Quinn from trespassing on quarry and cement plant lands in Co Cavan on 25 May 2022. The order followed an application by Mannok Cement Ltd and Mannok Build Ltd concerning their lands, including Swanlinbar Quarry.
Ms Justice Emily Egan said Quinn had been on the companies’ lands numerous times without permission and had not denied doing so. She was satisfied the companies were entitled to an injunction and that unauthorised access to an active quarry raised health and safety concerns. The court also awarded costs to the plaintiffs.
Quinn was not present or represented when the order was made. In a letter to the court, he had offered not to visit Mannok property if he could use a road on the land to reach a site for a prospective wind farm.
