Sean McManus’s drug trafficking sentence remitted after challenge

Sean McManus, 39, from Baldoyle, had his 2018 drug trafficking conviction upheld by the High Court, which found the mandatory sentencing provision unconstitutional.

The court remitted his 15-year sentence, with the final three years suspended, to the Circuit Criminal Court for reconsideration.

The case was recorded in June 2021.
