An application to jail Sean Dunne for civil contempt was adjourned in the High Court by Ms Justice Teresa Pilkington. The proceedings were reported on 9 March 2020.
Official Assignee Chris Lehane sought Dunne's attachment and committal over an order requiring him to pay €7,000 a month towards assets available to his creditors. In an affidavit, Lehane said Dunne had made no payments and was €112,000 in breach of the order.
Eddie Farrelly SC, for Lehane, said it was understood Dunne would contest the order and most likely plead inability to pay. Pilkington put the matter back to 23 March for mention, to establish whether Dunne would be represented, represent himself, or what position he would take.
