Sameer Syed’s triple murder case was closed at the Central Criminal Court on 15 June 2022 after his death before trial.

Mr Justice Paul McDermott formally ended proceedings against Syed, who had been charged with murdering Seema Banu, Asfira Riza and Faizan Syed.

Syed was found dead in his Midlands Prison cell on 9 June 2022, before the trial listed for 15 June 2022 could begin.
