Roza Komorova was acquitted of stealing paintings at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, reported on 24 March 2015.
The paintings, worth €28,595, were taken from artist Louise Mansfield’s home on Brennanstown Road, Cabinteely, on 5 September 2011. The jury reached its not-guilty verdict after two and a half hours of deliberations following a six-day trial.
Komorova had denied the theft and said Mansfield had asked her to move the paintings. Twenty-one paintings were found in her van after gardaí stopped her, according to evidence reported from the trial.
