Renato Gehlen has pleaded not guilty to murdering Anne Colomines at the Central Criminal Court; the report was published on 22 September 2021.

The alleged offence occurred at the couple’s Dublin apartment on 25 October 2017.

McGovern’s notes recorded Gehlen saying he considered both sides equally responsible and had tried to stop Colomines.

He also told McGovern that he had tried to kill himself because Colomines was his family.

Gehlen was being treated at the Mater Hospital for injuries sustained on the night Colomines died.
