Rashid Mursekayev had a receiver appointed over shares in three Irish-registered aviation firms at the High Court on 31 October 2017.
The temporary, ex parte orders appoint Jim Luby of McStay Luby over shares in Fastway Leasing DAC, Avion Leasing Ltd DAC and City Leasing, while restraining their transfer or disposal pending further order.
The proceedings were brought by Volgadnepr-Unique Air Cargo to enforce a €4 million German judgment against a company whose loan was allegedly guaranteed by Mr Mursekayev, according to counsel.
The matter was returned to the High Court for a further hearing the following week.
